when a salad makes you too excited
Fantes sells that gizmo the vegetable vendors in Rome use to slice the puntarelle into strips
Yep. I have a link to it on their site
This sounds so delicious, Evan! Is it only available at the Hollywood Farmers Market or have you seen it elsewhere? I’d love to try it!
Tutti Frutti is at several markets. https://www.tuttifrutti.com/where-to-buy/
You can always DM them through IG and ask to make sure they'll have it.
Thanks so much!🤗
Barbara Spencer from Windrose Farm used to grow it, but chefs were the only ones who bought it, and not many of them!
If the messages I've been getting are any indication people are finally starting to use it!
Chrunch indeed ❤️ Dope food! Have you tried making gnudi? https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9kXmEqO3Kd/?igsh=c2NkaHR4cXBrZHI2
Gnudi, or Gnochetti di Ricotta as they were called on the Angeli menus was a staple for over a decade at my restaurants. My preferred version is made with beets shredded into the ricotta. The color is stunning. Here's a link to the recipe. https://www.kcrw.com/culture/shows/good-food/evans-beet-ricotta-dumplings-gnocchi
